A shinning glossy surface appears to reflect the commodities, aspirations and failures embedded in our relation with consumerism aesthetics. Valença Vaz’ ASIFAKEIL exhibition at the MuseumsQuartier Vienna carries dialectics exploring a possible renegotiation between materiality and the systems that shape our lives. Animated models linked to public transportation are transformed into emblems for movement, while transit-spaces become metaphors for hope.
