Hisko Hulsing (NL) was Artist in Residence at the MuseumsQuartier Vienna by invitation of ASIFA Austria and designed his installation “Resurrection” at ASIFAKEIL, ASIFA Austria’s showroom for animated art.
Hisko was Grand Prize winner at the Ottawa International Animation Festival and became internationally known for his animated sequences for „Cobain: Montage of Heck“, a documentary about Kurt Cobain. He directed both sequels of “Undone” the first animated series for adults an Amazon Prime.

MUSICOSMICA, Iby-Jolande Varga’s installation at ASIFAKEIL, ASIFA Austria’s showroom for animated art at MuseumsQuartier Vienna was shown from 19.11.2024 to 19.1.2025
MUSICOSMICA – Ein animiertes Märchen „für Kinder jeden Alters“ und eine Liebesgeschichte, die in der geheimnisvollen Welt der Musiktheorie angesiedelt ist: Iby-Jolande Varga gibt erstmals Einblick in ihr sehr persönliches, seit ihrem Musikstudium sich entfaltendes Projekt – mit Objekten und Figuren, der aktuellen Fassung des Filmes und Einblicken in die Werkstatt.
MUSICOSMICA – A Journey into the Universe of Music – is an animated fairy tale “for children of all ages”, and a love story taking place in the enigmatic realm of music theory: For the first time, Iby-Jolande Varga will give an insight into her very personal project, which has been unfolding since her music studies – with objects and puppets, the current version of the film and insights into the workshop.

John Fadeff won the international Radar Award at the Under_the_Radar Festival 2023 which meant an Artist residency at the MuseumsQuartier Vienna.
During his stay he designed a beautiful exhibition at ASIFA Austria’s animation-art showroom ASIFAKEIL, titled “Things That Float”, with these three automatically running mutoscopes, loaded with John’s experimental printmaking results.
